4ZZZ is Queensland’s longest running FM radio station. As a not-for-profit community broadcaster, we have been reliably pumping out alternative music, news and culture since we began in 1975. 

Located on Barry Parade in Fortitude Valley, we are dedicated to connecting and amplifying the voices of our community. We are run almost entirely by a team of passionate volunteers, from the voices you hear on-air to the people that process your CD’s or run events with our name on them.

Andrea Smith is the founder of Applause Genie and a highly respected music industry mentor with over 35 years’ experience across artist development, live music, education, and funding. She has worked with thousands of emerging and established artists, helping them build sustainable, strategic careers. Andrea has played a key role in developing Queensland’s music scene, from booking iconic acts early in their careers to creating music business training programs and industry events. Through Applause Genie, she now supports artists with mentoring, grant writing, and practical tools—helping musicians turn ideas into clear plans and real opportunities.

WYWS is a local Electronic label operated by Matthew Cook since 2017, with 20 releases from Brisbane artists.

Matt also produces Modular Synthesisers under the name – as well as being involved in repairs, production, mixing and mastering for local artists.

Founded in 2023, Wrecker Guitars is a Meanjin (Brisbane) based business offering bespoke guitars and basses as well as instrument repairs.
